Disney World Autograph Books
Meeting the characters in Disney World is more important to some young children, than the theme park attractions. Children generally love collecting autographs from the characters, and the Disney World autograph books make a great souvenir for them to take home. Also, take photos as you meet and greet the characters. Some of my favorite vacation moments were watching my son’s face as he saw all of his favorite Disney Characters in real life. Check your times guide for specific locations and times of your favorite characters.
Did you know you can enjoy a magical meal with some of your favorite characters? Most character meals are buffet service, and characters will visit each table at least once. I highly recommend Advance Reservations for character meals to avoid disappointment. Table service restaurants, character breakfasts, and dinner shows take advance dining reservations; call 407-WDW-DINE.
The Disney World autograph books that I recommend are listed below. The Guide to the Magic Walt Disney World Autograph & Sticker Book not only lets you collect autographs and pictures from your favorite characters, but there is also a place to collect Passport stamps at all of the countries in Epcot’s world showcase.
Packing tips Walt Disney World
Ok, we are headed to Walt Disney World for a quick 4 day trip in October and it is time to get my rear in gear and start getting things together to pack for our trip. Packing to go to Walt Disney World can be a little overwhelming, so I put together some tips to help you out. I also have a packing list to help you with the items that you need to bring.
Tip 1 – Coordinate your clothing before you go. Have everything you are going to wear planned. For your kids, pack each outfit for each day (pants, shirt, socks, underwear, hair ribbon, etc) in a separate plastic storage bag. This will save a lot of time once you are there trying to figure out what they are going to wear.
Tip 2 - Mark everything with your name and address. Disney does try to return all lost items.
Tip 3 – Make sure that you have all of your confirmation information including room, meal reservations, transportation reservations, etc.
Tip 4 – If you are using Disney’s Magical Express to get to your hotel from the airport, make sure that you have any necessities packed in a carryon. We have used this service in the past and it is a great service. It is free and gets you to your hotel pretty quickly. The only thing is that your suitcases will arrive about 4 hours after you. The up side is that when you get to the airport, you do not have to worry about your bags.
Tip 5 – If you are not using the Disney Dining plan and you will need money to eat at the parks, get a prepaid VISA card and leave your credit card in the safe in your hotel room. That way you can put only what you are going to need on the card and you will not have to worry about losing your credit card. You can also tie a credit card to your room key and charge it to your room. They do have a limit, so check with your hotel. You can have them charge it to your credit card periodically and it will free up your limit.
Tip 6 - This should be a no brainer, but bring comfortable shoes. Do not buy your shoes the week before your trip. Break them in.
Tip 7 – Bring sunscreen no matter what time of the year that you go.
Tip 8 – Use a packing list to make sure that you have everything that you need. I have attached the one I use. ultimatepackinglist
